Harborplace: Inner Harbor Baltimore
Built by developer James W. Rouse and The Rouse Company and designed by Benjamin C. Thompson, Harborplace is a festival marketplace that is located in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. It is located near the former Light Street site of the Old Bay Line's steamship terminal and docks, which were there from 1898 through 1950.
Two, 2 story pavilions - the Light Street Pavilion and the Pratt Street Pavilion - make up a large part of Harborplace. Located across Pratt Street is the third part of Harborplace, a 4 story, glass enclosed building known as The Galley. The Gallery is a shopping lover's paradise, with tons of shops (both one of a kind and national retailers) and restaurants to choose from. For more information on The Gallery at Harborplace,, read our page on The Gallery.
